Working Hours: Mon–Sat, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (GMT+8). Sunday & holidays off. Issues are still monitored.

🔁 OJS Upgrades: Free up to 2x/year. Critical patches beyond that are also free.

🔐 Access Required: We need cPanel or server admin access for fixes.

☁️ Backups: Auto daily backups only available on VPS servers (not on shared/cPanel hosting).

⚙️ Plugin Development: Additional costs apply if plan hours are exceeded.

Hourly Tracking: Time is logged using Clockify.

🧩 Bug Handling:

  • Urgent issues → addressed immediately after internal review.
  • Minor bugs → reported to PKP; if unresolved in 24h, we’ll patch and document it.
🔄 Safe Upgrades: OJS upgrades are performed on staging servers (yours or ours).
🔒 Data Privacy: We maintain strict confidentiality. Only client/institution names may be publicly listed.

General Bundle FAQs

What is included in the OJS Support Bundle (OSB)?

Each OSB plan includes routine support, technical maintenance, minor fixes, system health checks, OJS version upgrades, and client support via your preferred communication channel. Optional add-ons are available for additional services.

Does the OSB include journal hosting?

No. OSB plans do not include hosting services. However, the Premium Bundle provides hosting assistance such as server guidance or help coordinating with your hosting provider.

Is the OSB priced per journal or per OJS installation?

Pricing is based on the number of journals covered within a single OJS installation. For example, the Standard Bundle covers up to 2 journals on one OJS instance.

Do I need separate bundles for each journal?

Not necessarily. A single OSB plan covers multiple journals hosted on the same OJS installation according to the tier you select: Basic covers 1 journal, Standard covers up to 2 journals, and Premium covers up to 5 journals. If you manage more than 5 journals on a single OJS instance, we offer a customized Enterprise Bundle to suit your needs.

Support & Maintenance

What do the included support hours cover?

Support hours cover minor fixes, troubleshooting, plugin installation or update, configuration tweaks, small customization requests, and client guidance.

What happens if I exceed my included support hours?

Additional support hours can be purchased at ₹500/hour plus GST.

What does the “OJS Upgrade” service include?

This service updates your OJS installation to the latest stable version, including compatibility testing with your themes and plugins.

What is the difference between system health checks and reports?

Health checks are regular internal diagnostics we perform to proactively detect issues. Reports summarize these findings and include recommendations.

What is “Emergency Response (Fix SLA)” in the Premium Bundle?

Premium plan clients receive 1 emergency fix per year with priority response, typically addressing urgent downtime or critical failures within 12–24 hours.

Technical Scope

Are theme redesigns included in the OSB?

No. Basic theme tweaks are covered under support hours, but major theme revamps require a separate add-on service.

Does the OSB include server or hosting management?

No. We provide hosting guidance only, no direct server management. Premium plan clients get assistance coordinating with their hosting provider.

Can you help integrate third-party tools or analytics?

Yes, within your included support hours or as an add-on service.

Billing & Subscription

How is the OSB billed?

OSB plans are billed annually and prepaid. Subscriptions renew each year unless canceled.

Are taxes included in the bundle price?

No. All prices are exclusive of 18% GST, which is added during billing.

Can I upgrade my OSB mid-subscription?

Yes, upgrades to higher-tier bundles can be done anytime by paying the pro-rated difference.

Do unused support hours or upgrades roll over to the next year?

No. Unused hours or upgrades expire at the end of the subscription year.

Cancellation & Terms

Can I cancel my OSB anytime?

Yes, but refunds are not provided for prepaid annual subscriptions.

Is there a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA)?

Premium Bundle includes a limited SLA for emergency fixes. Other bundles follow best-effort response times as outlined in their descriptions.

If no OSB

Can I opt out of the OSB plan and pay only when I need support?

Yes, you can choose not to subscribe to an OSB plan and instead pay for services on an ad-hoc basis. However, this means you will be charged ₹500 + 18% GST per hour for maintenance and troubleshooting, and ₹4,000 + 18% GST for each  OJS upgrade. This pay-as-you-go approach can be less cost-effective and less predictable compared to subscribing to one of our maintenance plans.

What are the benefits of enrolling in an OSB plan versus paying ad-hoc?

Subscribing to an OSB plan gives you a fixed yearly fee with included maintenance hours, priority support, scheduled health checks, and included major upgrades—helping you manage your budget and ensuring proactive management of your OJS platform. Ad-hoc payment means paying individually for each service, which may lead to higher costs and slower response times.

Will I still get support if I don’t enroll in a plan?

Absolutely. We provide support to all clients regardless of plan enrollment, but clients with active OSB plans receive faster response times and priority handling.
