Every certificate should look unmistakably like your journal’s. Altechmind enters your details and designs your certificates during setup. This guide shows your team where those settings live, so you can keep them up to date.

1. Check your journal’s details

Open Journals. Here you’ll find:

  • Journal name and ISSN, as they should appear on certificates.
  • Logo, shown at the top of every certificate.
  • Signatory: the name and title printed on the signature line, for example the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Signature image.

2. Add or replace the signature

Upload the signature image in the journal’s settings. It’s stored in a protected folder outside the public part of your website and never goes into the WordPress media library, so it can’t be found or copied through a link.

Use a clean scan on a transparent background (PNG). It sits neatly on the signature line in every colour scheme.

3. Adjust the design

Under Settings, the design options are:

  • Colour scheme.
  • Border style.
  • Fonts.
  • An official seal.
  • A watermark.

4. Adjust the wording

Also under Settings, you can change:

  • The certificate title.
  • The “presented to” line.
  • The date format.
  • The certificate ID format.

Some settings are locked with an unlock code so they can’t be changed by accident. If a section is read-only and you need to change it, contact Altechmind for an unlock code.

5. Check the result

After any change, issue a test certificate to yourself and open the PDF. Check the logo, signature, spelling of the journal name and the ISSN before you issue certificates to authors.

Next: issue your first certificate.

Questions

Is our signature image safe?

Yes. It’s kept in a protected folder outside the public part of your website and never enters the media library.

Can we change the design later?

Yes. Colours, borders, fonts, seal, watermark and wording are in Settings. If a section is locked, Altechmind can give you an unlock code.
