These are the prices for one journal on one OJS installation, upgraded to OJS 3.5. Working days count from when we have access and payment.

These are our prices as of October 2026. Prices can change over time: the calculator on our upgrade page always shows the current price, and the price in your quote is the one you pay.

What changes the price

• Your current OJS version. The older the version, the more there is to move and check.
• How many OJS installations you have (separate OJS websites).
• How many journals each installation hosts: 1, 2 to 3, or 4 to 5. Six or more get a custom quote.
• Optional extras: DOI registration setup, Google Scholar optimisation, performance optimisation, and a 2-hour live training session for your editorial team.

What every upgrade includes

• A free check of your journal before you pay: version, server, theme, plugins and any custom code.
• One clear price for your upgrade, agreed in writing before we start.
• A full backup of the database, the files folder and the code.
• The upgrade done and tested on a private copy first: submissions, review, emails, DOIs and the public pages.
• Your theme and plugins checked, and updated or replaced where they need it.
• The live upgrade at a quiet time, with the journal usually offline for under 2 hours.
• 14 days of free fixes after the upgrade.

1. Open the OJS upgrade service page.
2. Choose your current version, the number of installations and the journals in each.
3. Tick any extras you want. The price updates as you go.
4. Add your email or phone number, a preferred start date and any comments, then send the request.

• In India you can pay online with UPI, cards or net banking, with a GST invoice. Outside India we email a PayPal invoice in US dollars, which accepts cards.

Which version do you upgrade to?

OJS 3.5, PKP’s current long-term support release, on its latest build.

Is GST included?

In India, prices are plus 18% GST; the calculator shows the price, the GST and the total separately. US dollar prices for clients outside India have no Indian GST.

Why does a very old version need a custom quote?

The data in very old journals varies a lot. A free check shows what yours needs, and you get a clear price before any work starts.
