How to Export and Back Up Your Certificates
Export your records as a CSV, or a ZIP with a rebuilt PDF of every certificate.
On this page
Your certificate records belong to your journal. Export them whenever you need to: for a report, an audit, or a backup before changes to your hosting.
Two kinds of export
| Export | What you get | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| CSV | Your certificate records as a spreadsheet file | Reports and audits; opens in Excel or Google Sheets |
| ZIP | A freshly rebuilt PDF of every certificate, in folders by journal and type | A complete backup of the certificates themselves |
How to export
- Open Certificates in your WordPress dashboard.
- Choose export, then CSV or ZIP.
- Save the file somewhere safe.
A large library takes a little longer to build as a ZIP, because every PDF is rebuilt.
Keep a copy of your exports somewhere other than your web server, and make a fresh ZIP before any move to new hosting.
An export is a copy, not a full website backup. Keep your regular hosting backups too.
Questions
Can we export every certificate at once?
Yes. The ZIP contains a rebuilt PDF of every certificate, organised by journal and type.
What can we do with the CSV?
Open it in Excel or Google Sheets for reports, audits or your own records.
Does exporting change anything?
No. Exporting only makes a copy; your certificates and their verification pages stay as they are.
Your certificates, always yours
